Easy Off Saddlebag Mounting  System

Our saddlebags go on and off  by securing the saddlebags with  wingnuts.  The wing nuts are simple to use and securely  mount the saddlebags to the cycle.  Below are the  instructions of how to mount the saddlebags to the bike using the Easy Off brackets.  The Easy Off Saddlebag Mounting System is manufactured specifically for each model motorcycle.  The system is not universal.

Instructions:

1.   Remove one of the two bolts in the rear fender strut.Replace the factory bolt with our threaded stud.

2.  Screw in our stud into the fender strut.(For 2005 and earlier Harley-Davidsons slide the stud through the strut and turn the stud into a nut inside the fender.)

3.  Slide one tube of our “tubed bag support” onto the stud and secure with a washer and then a nut.

4.  Bolt up the other tube.

5.  Tighten the lower two acorn nuts at the bottom of the side rods.

6.  Hold up the saddlebag against the studs making sure the bag is level and at least 1.5” above the muffler and mark where the studs hit the bag.

7. Drill out the bag’s back at the  stud’s mark on the back of the saddlebag first using  a ¼” or so pilot bit. Then enlarge the hole depending if the stud is a 8mm,10mm or 3/8th  diameter.

8.   Slide on a washer to the two studs .Slide on the saddlebag to the the studs.

9.  Tighten up the saddlebags on the studs with a washer and a wingnut.

10.  Reach to the back of the saddlebags and mark the 3/8th hole through  the lower flat plate of the tubed saddlebag support onto the saddlebags’s back.

11.  Drill out this flat plate mark in the saddlebag’s back as previously done.

12.  Loosen and remove the wingnuts and washers on the two upper studs and take off the saddlebags.

13.  Place the 1”x3/8th  bolt through the flat plate hole and secure with a nut.

14.  Place on a washer on the 3/8th bolt so that the washer rests against the saddlebag’s back as well as the washers back onto the  two upper studs.

15.  Slide on the saddlebag and tighten up the saddlebag with a washer and a wing nut.

The Instructions may be long but are really made to be easily followed.
